custom ringtones for Samsung Magnet


Just got new att samsung magnet phones, and trying to to set a custom ringtone to it, but it keep telling me the size of the file i want to use is too large. and it takes me some time to figure out the problems, so i shared with everyone of you,, who need to custom ringtones for your samsung phones.

The answers from samsung official, only mp3 music files less than 300k are considers as ringtone files, that means only mp3 file less than 300k can be assign as ringtones as custome ringtone, so i find software to cut the large mp3 files into small size,, until it is less than 300k now it works fine..

Tips & tricks for one custome mp3 ringtones as contact ringtones:

To assign a downloaded MP3 Ringtone to a Contact follow the steps below:
While in standby mode, press the right soft key for Menu
Select Address Book (8)
Select Contact List (1)
Highlight the desired Contact entry, stored in the handset’s memory, using the navigation keys
Press the left soft key for Options then select View (1)
Press the left soft key for Options then select Edit (1)
Highlight Ringtone (Not Assigned), using the navigation keys, then press the OK key to Change
Select one of the following:
Default Tones (1)
Recorded Audio (2)
Downloaded Tones (3)
Not Assigned (4)
Highlight the desired Ringtone, using the navigation keys
Press the left soft key for Select or Options then choose Select (2)
Press the left soft key to Save the Contact changes

Note: Ringtones are only available for Contact entries stored in the handset’s memory, not on the SIM card
