Samsung Android system Device 2009
Samsung decide to start competing for market share in the Android segment with HTC as early as in the third quarter of 2009, according to market sources.
Based on news released by Samsung, the company’s first Android handset will be similar to HTC Magic handset in design and with the similair specifications, and both models will be built with 3.5G chipset solutions from Qualcomm.
However, The HTC will be able to lead the market share of Android segment. Cause HTC has already launched the T-Mobile G1 and will launch the HTC Magic in the second quarter.
In addition to the HTC Magic, HTC plans to launch at least two more Android-powered handsets in 2009, company president and CEO Peter Chou said at a Merrill Lynch technology conference held in Taipei recently.
