Tip #1: Voice Commands Shortcut

To launch Voice Commands from the portrait mode, press and hold 0. To launch Voice Commands from the QWERTY keyboard, press and hold 0/P.

Tip #2: Viewing Messages While on a Call

To view messages while on a call, press the Options soft key, then select Messages.

Tip #3: Using Digital Zoom on Videos

Zoom enables users to temporarily enlarge the photos and videos taken. In the camera or camcorder mode, use the up and down Volume keys to adjust the zoom.

Tip #4: Music Player Navigation

To stop playing a music file, press the down Navigation key; to skip to an earlier music file in the selected list, press the left Navigation key; to skip to a later music file in the selected list, press the right Navigation key. To return to the selected list and choose another music file to play, press the up Navigation key.

Tip #5: Supported Bluetooth® Profiles

To see a list of supported Bluetooth® profiles, choose Menu > Tools > Bluetooth > Bluetooth Settings > Supported Profiles.

Quick Search is an easy way to find Contacts just by typing in the first few letters of that contact’s name. The phone will produce a list of possible names, based on those first few letters. To enable this feature, select Menu > Settings > Phone Settings > Quick Search. Highlight On and press OK.

Tip #8: Disabling Audio Prompts for Voice Command

To disable the audio prompts provided by Voice Command, choose Menu > Voice SVC > Voice Settings > Sounds > Prompts > Off > End.

Tip #9: Turning Location On

Certain MetroPCS services, such as Loopt® and MetroNAVIGATOR, require the phone’s location setting to be On. Select Menu > Settings > Location. Highlight Location On and press OK.

Tip #10: Changing the Text Entry Mode

To change the text entry mode at any point while composing a message, press the left soft key and select the desired text entry mode. If using the QWERTY keyboard, press the Fn key to quickly toggle between input options. In the portrait mode, press the key to toggle between input options. Press and hold the key for numeric and T9™ predictive text.

Tip #11: Activating the Music Player

To activate the Music Player, press (but don’t hold) the Multimedia key on the lower right-hand side of the phone. Use the left and right soft keys to access player options. To exit, press the End key.

To activate the camera mode, press and hold the Multimedia key on the lower right-hand side of the phone. Press the right soft key to access camera options. To exit, press the End key.

In the portrait mode, press and hold the Speakerphone key until “Speakerphone On” appears in the display. The Messager® II automatically enters into Speakerphone Mode when a call is dialed.

Press the End key to send an incoming call directly to voicemail.
