Ref: T-mobile Android Phones, T939, using the Android Behold 2, Behold 2 Tips and tricks, samsung T939 site samsung tips.

Buy one new samsung behold, and using it..So, you are one of those T-mobile subscribers come here to looking for the tips and tricks for using T-mobile samsung behold 2.. we present you 19 tips as follow:

Tips & Tricks

Tip #1: Copying and Pasting within the Web Browser

To copy text from a website while viewing the page, press Menu > Select Text. Use your finger to highlight the text to be copied. When you lift your finger, the message Text Copied to Clipboard will appear. To paste copied text, hold your finger down until the Paste menu appears, Touch Paste to paste the copied text.

Tip #2: Using Voice Search

Open the Voice Search Widget, speak the search request, and the phone will display those Google search results.

Tip #3: Accessing and Setting Widgets

To display the Widget Bar, touch the Widget Bar menu. Touch it again to hide.

One way users can add widgets and shortcuts to the scrolling workspaces is by touching an empty area of the screen, and holding your finger in place until the Add to Home menu appears. Users can add a Shortcut, a Widget, Folders, or new Wallpapers to the screens.

Tip #4: Accessing Gmail

To access Gmail from the workspace, open the Widget Bar and touch the Gmail Widget, and then sign into the Google account.

Tip #5: Uploading a Video to YouTube

To upload a video to YouTube, open the YouTube Widget, and then Menu > Upload. Select the desired video already on the phone by touching the thumbnail image. Users must sign into YouTube to access this feature.

Tip #6: Using Voice Recorder Settings

Users can name their voice recordings and set recording time for 5, 10, or 30 minutes. Touch the Voice Recorder Widget, and then Setting. From the Recording Time drop-down menu, set the time. Then, touch the box under Default Name and use the virtual QWERTY keyboard to type in a name for the notes, and touch Save.

Tip #7: Seeing a List of Supported Bluetooth Profiles

To see a list of supported Bluetooth profiles from the workspace, touch Quick List > Settings > Bluetooth > Settings > Bluetooth Services.

Tip #8: Activating XT9 Predictive Text and Auto Substitute

In addition to predicting subsequent letters and completing words, XT9 can also be set up to auto substitute the most common grammatical errors like changing wouldnt to wouldnt, and alot to a lot.

Go to the Quick List and touch Settings > Language > Samsung Keyboard > Auto-Substitution > On.

Tip #9: Using Auto Focus

Within the Camera viewfinder, press the Shutter key halfway down to auto focus. Press the button all the way down to take the picture.

Tip #10: Posting a Picture to Picasa

After taking a picture, touch the photo thumbnail to post. Touch Share > Picasa. Sign into Google and touch Upload.

Tip #11: Memory Card Formatting Shortcut

Formatting an optional memory card is made simple on the new Samsung Behold II. Simply insert the card and touch Quick List > Settings > Memory Settings > Memory Card Details > Format. Do note that formatting will likely erase current memory card content, so please back up the card before formatting.

Tip #12: Cropping Photos

After taking a picture, select More > Edit Photo > Edit. Users can then edit effects, crop, adjust the brightness and color, resize, and flip; and also insert frames, clip art, and emoticons.

Tip #13: Maneuvering the Scrolling Home Screen

The Main workspace on the Samsung Behold II is not a static page; this workspace scrolls right to left so users have more space to organize their widgets and applications. To navigate, glide your finger across the screen or up and down, and also use the Navigation key to jump from feature to feature.

Tip #14: Pre-loaded Song and Music Video on the Samsung Behold II Free microSD Memory Card

The Samsung Behold II comes with a free 2GB microSD memory card, which includes a sample Marie Digby’s Say it Again music video, and the MP3 music files Brooke White’s Radio Radio and David Gray’s Fugitive.

Tip #15: Shortcuts on the Samsung Behold II

Widgets: To display the Widget Bar, open the Widget Bar tab. Touch it again to hide.

Shortcuts on Screen: Add widgets and shortcuts to one of the three main workspaces by touching an empty area of the screen, and hold a finger in place until the “Add to Home” menu appears. Users can add a Shortcut, a Widget, Folders, or new Wallpapers to the screen.

Notification Bar: When the Notification Bar is undocked, there are shortcuts to common features such as Phone, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and recent applications.

Recent Applications: When the Home key is pressed and held, a list of recent applications will display.

Tip #16: Opening and Managing Attachments

To easily open and manage attachments, download the Documents To Go app from the Android Market. Documents that can be opened and managed include Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and PDFs.
Install the Documents To Go app from the Android Market.
Open a message in the Inbox that includes an attachment.
Touch Save. The phone will fetch the attachment.
From the Home screen, open the Widget Bar and touch the Files Widget.
Scroll down and select the attachment.
If it is a Word document, select either Document View or Word to Go; for spreadsheets, Sheet to Go; for slideshows, Slideshow to Go; and PDFs to Go for PDFs.
Once selected, easily open, view, and manage attachments.

Tip #17: Keypad Settings

When creating a message, touch and hold the T9 button. Users will then have the option to choose among a QWERTY keyboard, 3×4 keypad, or 5×3 keypad.

If users select Writing Language, they can also select between English, French, and Spanish language options.

Users can also set their default keyboard settings to either QWERTY keyboard or the keypad. Go to Settings > Language and Keypad > Samsung Keyboard > Keypad Type. Select either QWERTY keyboard, 3×4 Keypad, or 5×3 Keypad.

Tip #18: Dial a Phone Number via the Web

Easily dial a phone number from the web (or even through an e-mail message) by touching and holding the phone number. A menu will appear with options to Dial the Number, Add it to your Contacts, or Copy the Number. Select Dial. Press Send to make the call.

Tip #19: Viewing YouTube Videos in High Quality

When viewing a YouTube video, press the Menu key. Then touch More > Watch in High Quality, and notice the bright clarity difference on the phone’s AMOLED display.
