1) Go Applications
2) Select “Contacts”
3) Press Menu and Check Speed dial.
4) Select a location number and then select a contact

You can quickly dial this number by tapping and holding the location number in the dialing screen.

Access the Messaging Key

The Envelope key , located to the left of the four-way Navigation key, can be set for one-step access to message creation, the Inbox, IM, or E-mail. Simply press the key and follow the prompts to set the shortcut, or go to Menu > Settings > Phone Settings > Messaging Key, highlight either Create new message, Inbox, IM, or E-mail, and press Assign.

Tip #2: Voice Mail Shortcut

Press and hold the 1 key for immediate access to Voice mail.

Tip #3: Changing Input Options

T9 is the default text input setting in the portrait mode, while ABC is the default in the landscape mode. To change the text input mode while in portrait mode, press the right soft key and select among T9, ABC, Number, or Symbol. To change the text input mode while in QWERTY mode, press the right soft key and select between ABC and Symbol mode.

Tip #4: How to Zoom and Adjust White Balance on the Camera

Use the up and down Navigation keys to zoom in and out using the camera or camcorder, and use the right and left Navigation keys to adjust the white balance.

Tip #5: t-zones Shortcut

Press the t-zones soft key to bypass the t-zones menu and go directly to a web connection.

Tip #6: Music Player Shortcuts

While playing music, the up Navigation key cycles through the Gravity’s play settings: Shuffle, Repeat (repeats the current song continuously), Repeat All (repeats the entire playlist continuously), and Shuffle Repeat (repeats all songs in the playlist, shuffled, continuously).

Tip #7: Adding a New Group

To add a new caller group, select Menu > Phonebook > Groups, and then press the Options soft key and select Create new group. Enter a name for the group in the name field. To customize the group, highlight Picture ID, select Add, and follow the prompts to add a picture to the group. Do the same with Ringtone, and press the Save soft key to complete the process.

Tip #8: Accessing the Speakerphone

The Samsung Gravity™ has a speakerphone for hands-free convenience. To access the speakerphone during a call, simply press the Spkr on soft key.

Tip #9: Audio Postcard Shortcut

Press the right Navigation key to quickly access and create an Audio Postcard.

Tip #10: Messaging Shortcut

Press the left Navigation key to go directly to Message composition mode.

Tip #11: Vibrate Shortcut

Press and hold the key to activate Vibrate mode, which silences the phone’s ringer.

Tip #12: Social Networking

Press the down Navigation key for quick access to the Phonebook.
